Children's Choir of Central Virginia Registration

The Children's Choir of Central Virginia is searching for children who love to sing. We serve children in grades 1 - 8, ages 6 - 14 at locations in Crozet and Charlottesville. Early bird registration for the Spring 2018 semester is now open. Pay no registration fee if you enroll and pay the first month's tuition before Saturday, November 18th. To enroll please follow the steps listed on our website by clicking here. League of Women Voters of Charlottesville Area Events

The League of Women Voters of the Charlottesville Area is hosting several forums for candidates running for a variety of local offices.  A forum attended by candidates running for the Samuel Miller District seat on the Albemarle County School Board will be held Thursday October 19th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Central Branch of the Jefferson Madison Regional Library.  The Samuel Miller district includes Meriwether Lewis Elementary School. MLES Early Bird PE Days!

MLSPE would like to announce our second Early Bird PE Week this year, October 9-13! Come join Mr. Massie, Mr. Williams and Ms. Addo for some early morning physical activity!  The gym doors will open at 7:30 promptly each morning every day this week.  Please do not drop off students before 7:30 as there will not be an adult to supervise or let them in the building! ALSO, PLEASE LET YOUR CHILD OUT OF THE CAR ON THE SIDEWALK!!!!  We want to ensure all students' safety. The students will enter through the gym entrance, place their backpacks in the hallway, and start having fun!

Hoos Care Kids Fair, September 17th

Please join our community at the Hoos Care Kids Fair on Sunday, Sept. 17, from 1-5 PM at the John Paul Jones Arena. The event is FREE and promotes community awareness of UVA Children's Hospital. There will be lots of inflatables, performances, and doctors on hand to talk about their specialties. Visit the event page for a list of performances and other information. Hope to see you there!

Jazzercise Offering Free Classes

Jazzercise Charlottesville is offering free classes to all girls ages 16-21 for 2017!  No strings attached.  Summer is a great time to give this program a try.  Why free?  We want to provide a safe and welcoming environment for young women to get fit and find a place to belong in our community.  Our dance fitness program offers physical, emotional and mental health benefits that help provide a positive way to prep for your future.  We want to help you "dance your own path!”  Find us at our new location opening June 5th - 1739 - C  Allied St - straight back behind Cville Coffee in McIntire Plaza downtown.
