Camp4Real Registration Now Open!

Join Mr. Massie and Mr. Williams June 11-15 and August 6-10 at MLS with longer hours available! Kids love the extremely fun and active camp day and the delicious food! Parents love the healthy eating, flexible hours, sibling discounts, and happy, healthy, exhausted kids at the end of the day! We now have two full day options (3:30 and 5:15) to go along with our half day and no need to pack a snack/lunch as we feed the kids all day!  We have a special GIRLS ONLY K-8th camp July 9-13 at MLS as well! "Out of this World" ArtFest in the West is planned for March 2, 2018, 6-9pm at WAHS!

Sponsored by Arts in Western Education (AWE), this FREE, family friendly event will help raise much needed funds for arts education in Western Albemarle County public schools. The “Out of this World” theme will include stellar kids’ activities, starry decorations, delicious food, loads of games with universal appeal, and many student performances! Silent auction proceeds directly benefit arts programs at Murray, Meriwether Lewis, Crozet and Brownsville Elementary Schools, Henley Middle School, and Western Albemarle High School! Accessible Theatre Project

Accessible Theatre Project strives to offer safe, judgement-free environments for audiences who would benefit from accessibility accommodations. We provide inclusive theater experiences for neurodiverse audience members and their families by partnering with theater organizations to create sensory-friendly productions.

Camp4Real Summer Registration is Now Open

Looking for an ACTIVE camp that also provides REAL healthy foods on a daily basis? Well we've got good news for you! Camp4Real<https://camp4real.com/> dates are set for the summer!  June 11-15 and August 6-10 will be the dates at Meriwether Lewis!

Registration<https://camp4real.com/summer-2018-registration/> is open NOW for our half-day camps with early bird rates!  We are also looking into offering longer hours after much feedback from the community, so we'll update you when we make that happen!  So if your child is interested in a great camp experience led by MLS PE teachers Mr. Massie and Mr. Williams, this is the camp for you!

2017-2018 Golden Apple Nominations

Is there an outstanding teacher you would like to recognize and nominate for this award? Submission deadline is February 1. One winner will be selected from each school, and is eligible to receive a $1,000 Golden Apple Grant. Grants awarded to eight candidates: 3 elementary, 2 middle, and 2 high school candidates, and 1 from the schools that are members of the VAIS. The grant award is used for classroom materials or to support the recipient’s continued professional development. Golden Apple Award recipients will be announced in May. Children's Choir Benefit Holiday Concert

The Children's Choir of Central Virginia will be holding a benefit concert for the UVA Children's Hospital on Saturday, December 16th at 2pm. The concert will be held at Crozet Methodist Church and all proceeds go directly to this good cause. General admission is $10 and children under the age of 2 are free. December 2-3 Speaker Series on Kids and Body Image

Dynamic Speaker Dr. John C. Acquaviva, comes to the Church of the Incarnation for two talks the weekend of Dec. 2-3 -- "Raising Kids With a Healthy Body Image" and "Sport & Virtue." Dr. Acquaviva, professor of Sport Sciences at Wingate University in North Carolina, will talk to parents about his new book, Raising Kids With a Healthy Body Image, at 6:30 p.m. in the Church's Parish Activities Center (the stone chapel in the middle of the parking lot) on Sat., Dec. 2. He will follow this up with a discussion on Sun., Dec. 3, at 6:15 p.m. about "Sport & Virtue." All are welcome!
