Scholastic Book Fair at MLS: February 24 - March 2, 2017

Grab your backpack and hit the trail for the Scholastic Book Fair! Every household could use s’more books, and the Book Fair offers a great selection of books that kids love to read! Plus, all purchases benefit our school library.

Here is this year's schedule!

Friday, February 24: Book Fair Preview Day. Students will view books with their classes and bring home wish lists to discuss with parents. Please review the list with your child and agree on what they will purchase.

Monday, February 27: Book Fair Shopping. Students will visit the book fair with their classes to purchase books. Parents can send cash or check for students to purchase books. Volunteers will be on hand to help younger students, so please send wish lists back along with payment. (Checks should be made out to MLS, and please do not send blank checks, or checks with blank amounts! Change from cash or check will be sent home; if you aren’t sure of the total your child will spend, estimate high and you’ll get the change. Book fair sales are tax-exempt, so prices are as listed.) Book fair will be open until 3:30 pm.

Tuesday, February 28: Book Fair Shopping & Family Night. Students may purchase books throughout the day; parents may visit during the day or shop with their children 2:30–6:30 pm (cash, check, or credit cards accepted.) Join us around the “campfire” for fun and stories at Family Night, 5–6:30! Pizza will be available for purchase in the cafeteria, and shoppers can take home a s’mores treat! In addition, a group of 5th graders will host a bake sale to benefit an orphanage and school in Haiti.

Wednesday, March 1 and Thursday, March 2: Book Fair ShoppingStudents and parents may purchase books Wednesday 8 am–3:30 pm and Thursday 8 am–12 pm.
