Scholastic Book Fair February 26-March 1

Paws for Books color.jpg

Scholastic’s “Paws for Books” Book Fair comes to MLS this February! Find purr-fect books and a dog-gone good time as you and your kids sniff out books that will make their tails wag! All purchases benefit our school library – just another way that reading is PAW-SOME!

Friday, February 23: Book Fair Preview Day

Students will view books with their classes and bring home wish lists to discuss with parents. Please review the list with your child and agree on what they will purchase.

Monday, February 26: Book Fair Shopping, 8 am-3 pm.

Students will visit the book fair with their classes. Parents can send cash or check for students to purchase books. Volunteers will be on hand to help younger students, so please send wish lists back along with payment. Checks should be made out to MLS. Please do not send blank checks! Change from cash or check will be sent home; if you aren’t sure of the total your child will spend, estimate high and you’ll get the change. Book fair sales are tax-exempt, so prices are as listed.

Tuesday, February 27: Book Fair Shopping 8 am-5 pm & Family Night 5-6:30 pm.

Students may purchase books throughout the day; parents may visit during school hours or shop with their children 2:30–6:30 pm (cash, check, or credit cards accepted.) Join us for story hour and shopping at Family Night, 5–6:30! Pizza will be available for purchase in the cafeteria.

Wednesday, February 28: Special Parent Shopping Hours 8:30-10:30 am, Regular Shopping 8 am-3 pm.

New this year: Join us for coffee and quiet Parent Shopping Hours 8:30–10:30 am! Great for purchasing books as gifts and spending more time considering final purchases for your young pups.

Thursday, March 1: Final Shopping Hours, 8 am-12 pm. Open to students and parents.
