Scholastic Book Fair February 22 through February 28

Scholastic Book Fair February 22-28

Get ready for the biggest, loudest book fair ever! It’s the Scholastic DINO-MITE Book Fair: Stomp, Chomp, and Read! Super-size fun awaits when the MLS library is turned into reading raptors, bookceratops, and readasaurus rexes, ready to unleash their inner dino and enjoy a stomping, chomping, reading good time!

Friday, February 22: Book Fair Preview Day.

Students will view books with their classes and bring home wish lists to discuss with parents. Please review the list with your child and agree on what they will purchase. Before Monday, choose your method of sending payment with your child: cash, check, or e-wallet. The e-wallet option is new this year and allows you to set a spending limit linked to a credit card.

Important notes on payment:

  1. To set up an e-wallet, click here and follow directions in the green box:

  2. If you are sending a check, make the check out to MLS (not to the PTO!) Please DO NOT SEND BLANK CHECKS. We will give change in cash, so if you are not sure of the total, estimate high and your child can bring home change.

  3. Book fair sales are tax-exempt, so no need to allow for added tax.

Monday, February 25: Book Fair Shopping, 8 am-3 pm.

Students will visit the book fair with their classes. Volunteers will be on hand to help younger students, so please send wish lists back along with payment.

Tuesday, February 26: Book Fair Shopping 8 am-5 pm & Family Night 5-6:30 pm.

Students may purchase books throughout the day; parents may visit during school hours or shop with their children 2:30–6:30 pm (e-wallet, cash, check, or credit cards accepted.) Join us for story hour and shopping at Family Night, 5–6:30! Pizza will be available for purchase in the cafeteria.

Wednesday, February 27: Book Fair Shopping 8 am-3 pm.

Thursday, February 28: Final Shopping Hours, 8 am-12 pm. Open to students and parents.
